Concerts
Concerts will be scheduled a little differently for the 2019-2020 school year.
Christmas Concert - Grades 2,5, & 8 - Thursday, December 19th
Winter Concert - Grades 1,4, & 7 - Thursday, January 23rd
Spring Concert - Grades K, 3, & 6 - Thursday, April 2nd
Our most important performance assessments are our concerts – performance is graded and attendance is mandatory, so mark the concerts in your calendar now! Students who miss one or both concerts will be expected to complete a makeup assignment. Please note that if your student misses a concert for a reason other than illness or family emergency, their concert grade will be lowered by one full letter grade even with the makeup assignment. If your student will be missing a concert for any reason, please email me as soon as possible at [email protected].
Concert Dress:
For 2pm performances during the school day, students will be in their regular uniforms. For the 6pm evening concerts, students are expected to dress nicely, as they would dress for Sunday Mass. They should report to their homeroom teachers by 5:45pm.
Boys: Dress pants (khakis, brown/black/blue pants, or uniform pants), with a nice shirt or sweater. Please avoid sportswear, jeans, or large logos. Tennis shoes or dress shoes are both fine.
Girls: Dress pants/khakis, skirts, or dresses. Please make sure that shoulders are covered and that leggings (if worn) are beneath a skirt, dress, or long top. Tennis shoes or dress shoes are both fine - make sure they are comfortable - and no flip flops.
